VAKA is a documentary about the Tokelauan community weaving together their customary wisdom with modern technologies to respond to climate change.  In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Government of Tokelau and Massey University. 

Screened at the UNFCC's annual climate change conference (COP25) in Madrid, 2019. 

Bronze winner at NZ Best Awards in Student Moving Image Category, 2020.

Honourable Mention in Documentary at Montreal Independent Film Festival 2020.

Nominee for Best Cinematographer at Sydney Short Film Festival 2021. 

Finalist in Best Documentary Short categories at: 
- Krakow Green Film Festival 2020.
-13th International Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Fest 2020.
